Enchanting Winter Wedding at Cedar Lakes Estate

Our team loved planning this unique winter wedding! Courtney and Kevin wanted their special day to have a laidback, cozy vibe paired with the luxurious, modern amenities offered by an all-inclusive venue like Cedar Lakes Estate. From saying their vows as the sun went down to partying into the morning with glow sticks, these two designed a wedding day that was 100% personalized to them. Basically, they were our dream couple! Why We Love Cedar Lakes Estate

We’ve fallen head over heels for this elegant estate venue tucked in the mountains of Port Jervis, NY! We couldn’t have been more excited when Courtney and Kevin approached us about planning their wedding here. It’s ideal for couples who want to create an immersive getaway for their guests since booking gains you access to the entire property for the weekend. Plus, the estate offers an abundance of activities and amenities that you can add on to personalize your stay!

No matter the season, the landscape here is drop-dead stunning. From the manicured grounds to tree-lined lakes and mountain ridges, there’s a backdrop to please anyone. And that brings us to another thing we love about Cedar Lakes Estate: the versatility! You can completely customize your wedding here, from the setting down to each menu item. Not to mention that with so many venues to choose between, your design options are limitless (have we said this place is a wedding planner’s dream?!). In our 3-D design software, we can create a mock-up for you to “walk through” ahead of time to ensure we’re understanding and executing your vision.

Ice Rink Wedding Ceremony

Cedar Lakes Estate is a venue for couples with big ideas, and Courtney and Kevin had such a unique vision! They took advantage of every amenity the estate offered. Their guests stayed in the onsite Luxury Cottages, which the venue has equipped with all the modern amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. From there, they had easy access to the estate’s vast and beautiful grounds for exploring.

When the big day arrived, Courtney and Kevin braved the cold to host their ceremony on the estate’s ice rink at sunset, where bistro lights twinkled overhead to create a magical scene! Vintage rugs lined the aisle to give the space a touch of coziness, while plaid blankets kept their guests warm. Metropolitan Plant & Flower Exchange also created a stunning floral arch with colors and textures inspired by the winter season. Burgundy and blush roses with clusters of white hydrangeas framed the couple while lush greenery cascaded down.

Cozy Reception in the Barn

The couple and their guests moved to the heated barn for cocktail hour, where a feast of hors d'oeuvres around a massive indoor fire pit awaited them. Meanwhile, a vintage food truck served up mugs of hot cocoa. Since many of the couple’s guests traveled from out of state, they wanted to create a setting that would feel like home and encourage everyone to get cozy and mingle. A set of rented lounge furniture from Wylde Rose Events was a stylish solution!

With floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake, the barn was also the perfect setting for the couple’s reception. Long farmhouse-style tables encouraged family-style dining and freedom of movement, so everyone could continue to chat and catch up. After an evening of drinks and dancing, the party continued in the tree house, which boasts indoor and outdoor space and an outdoor fire pit! DJ JSG stayed and kept everyone up and moving while the flow of food and drinks never stopped. Courtney and Kevin even brought glow sticks to add to the fun. It was an unforgettable night!
