Ethereal French Country Wedding at the Ryland Inn

Hailey and Patrick’s wedding at the Ryland Inn was a fairytale from start to finish! They contacted our team for planning and design services, and we loved bringing their vision for an ethereal, garden-inspired affair to life. Between the historic venue and vintage decor, we felt like we’d stepped from New Jersey into the French countryside! Danielle Gomez and the day-of team at the Ryland Inn were a dream to work with, too. Don’t miss the colorful floral details from this summer wedding day!

Saying “I Do” at the Ryland Inn

The day began with the couple getting ready in the venue’s on-site cottages. Just steps away from the Coach House and Grand Ballroom, the location of these facilities couldn’t be more convenient. Not to mention they have great natural lighting for beauty services! Hailey and Patrick met in the covered walkway for a first look (we swooned when we saw the smile on Patrick’s face taking in his beautiful bride!). Then, they visited their favorite locations on the grounds with Caroline Morris Photography. Meanwhile, Five Star Equine arrived with two gorgeous horses to feature in their portraits! Hailey looked just like a princess with a white horse at her side and flowing curls in her hair.

Soon it was time for the couple’s ceremony inside the Coach House. The space is always stunning, with a steepled ceiling, a stone fireplace, and massive windows. But to make it fit our couple’s vision of a lush garden paradise, Twisted Willow Flowers and our team transformed it! Overhead, the chandelier dripped with greenery and snapdragons in dreamy pastel shades. Then, beside the fireplace where the couple would say their vows, Twisted Willow Flowers installed a showstopping floral archway. Clusters of pink, orange, and blush roses covered every surface and exuded romance!

Although Hailey and Patrick opted to have a wedding party, they chose to stand by themselves with their officiant during their ceremony. Meanwhile, they reserved the first two rows of seating for their VIPs! We love this idea. It ensures the focus remains on the two of you. Plus, it makes for clean, timeless ceremony photos!

French Country Wedding Décor

During cocktail hour, our team and the day-of team at the Ryland Inn flipped the Coach House for the couple’s reception. Since Hailey and Patrick opted to host their ceremony and reception in this location, we could easily repurpose décor from earlier in the day! The beautiful archway that provided a backdrop for their vows also looked great behind their sweetheart table. And the lushly draped chandeliers were too gorgeous not to use again!

The couple invested in rented décor from White Glove Rentals to enhance the space and make it their own. A mix of farmhouse and round tables draped in white linens provided a place for guests to dine. Meanwhile, the couple’s pillar-style sweetheart table was a vintage dream, with French cane back chairs to complete the look! Delicate floral arrangements with roses, snapdragons, and lisianthus accented the tablescapes, while colorful taper candles added whimsy. Vintage details, including frilly white plates and gold cutlery, completed the design.

Coach House Reception at the Ryland Inn

In addition to being impeccably designed, Hailey and Patrick’s reception was so much fun! Their choreographed first dance featured a smoke machine to make it look like they were “dancing on the clouds.” Then, their guests joined them on the dance floor, where everyone got down to the sounds of a live band, courtesy of EBE Talent! Glow sticks came out toward the end of the evening and made for the perfect photo op. Finally, it was time for a sparkler exit to cap off this dreamy wedding day!
